Formal Fantasy offers part-time positions for enthusiastic, adaptable, unflappable people.
We look for employees who truly want to help our customers find that perfect gown or tuxedo and who have the creativity to create an entire "look", not just make a sale. We also prefer those who can guide a customer to explore styles, cuts and designs that they may not initially consider.
We offer a fixed schedule--no more wondering what hours you're going to be working next week! The job can be highly rewarding as well as demanding, especially during our peak Spring prom/wedding season.
There are two types of positions available at Formal Fantasy:
Sales Assistant: Assist customers in selecting clothing and accessories for formal events. Answer phone calls, stock store and prep and display merchandise. Must have good communication skills and a positive attitude, be able to carry at least 25 lbs. repeatedly during the day and be able to kneel or sit on the ground without difficulty. Knowledge of formal wear styles and terminology a plus. Starting pay $9/hr.
Sewing assistant: perform clothing alterations such as (but not limited to) pant hems and dress hems working on a variety of casual and special occasion fabrics. All work will be performed at Formal Fantasy during regular business hours using store equipment. Some customer service will be required. Starting pay $12/hour.
